Active members of NEPTA are privileged to present their students in recital providing a performance opportunity for secure and fluent performers. Student must have studied piano since September of the current academic year with this same member in good standing (dues received by December 1 or by recital application deadline for Halloween and Junior I and II recitals). Members may enter two students per recital except for the Halloween recital (15 entries accepted), Scholarships for Hope recital (8 entries accepted), and Duet/Ensemble recital (3 duet teams or ensembles).  Please note the different locations for the recitals.

In the event of a weather or other emergency, recitals will take place on Zoom during the regular recital time. The recital will not be rescheduled.

Once registration is submitted, no program changes, student substitutions, refunds, or transfers of the registration fee to another recital will be permitted.



HALLOWEEN PIANO PARTY – Sunday, October 25, 2026 – First Parish of Watertown
Grade in school: K-6
Time limit: 2 minutes per student

This recital provides an opportunity to perform in a friendly setting.
Costumes and Halloween music are welcome and encouraged!

JUNIOR I RECITALS – Saturday, November 7, 2026 – Falcetti Pianos
Grade in school: K–4
Time limit: 4 minutes for one student, 7 minutes total for two students (no exceptions)

JUNIOR II RECITALS – Saturday, November 14, 2026 – Falcetti Pianos

Time limit: 5 minutes for one student, 8 minutes total for two students (no exceptions)

INTERMEDIATE I RECITALS – Sunday, January 24, 2027 – Falcetti Pianos

Years studied: minimum of 3
Time limit: 5 minutes for one student, 8 minutes total for two students (no exceptions)

COMPOSITION RECITAL – February 7, 2027 – Falcetti Pianos
Grades K–5: (solo or ensemble): 4 minutes per student/ensemble (no exceptions)
Grades 6–12: (solo piano): 6 minutes per student (no exceptions)
Grades 6–12: (ensemble): 8 minutes per ensemble (no exceptions)

The ALICE PROCTER AWARD will be awarded for an outstanding  original composition in the classical style.   Original jazz/pop compositions, improvisations, and arrangements will be considered for the LOUISE HODDER OLSEN AWARD.

DUET/ENSEMBLE RECITAL – Sunday, March 21, 2027- Falcetti Pianos
Grade in school: K–12
Level of playing: intermediate or advanced
Grades K–4: 4 minutes per group (no exceptions)
Grades 5–12: 8 minutes per group (no exceptions)

Instrumentation: any combination of instruments and/or voice that includes one or two pianos. Parents are invited to perform with their children in this recital. NEPTA teachers may perform duets with their students in this recital. There will be two pianos available.

ADULT RECITAL – Sunday, March 21, 2027 – Falcetti Pianos
Age: 18 years or older
Level of playing: intermediate or advanced
Time limit: 10 minutes per student. 2nd student subject to available time

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HOPE: A Charitable Recital – Saturday, April 10, 2027 – Falcetti Pianos
Grade/age: All ages and levels, including adult students (K-adult)
Time limit: 5 minutes per student

Scholarship for Hope is a recital to raise funds to support piano lessons for students in need. Recital registration proceeds will fund the general scholarship fund solely in support of underserved students.  All musical styles and compositions are encouraged. Our students will be helping students in need just by registering for this recital!
